Performance Analyst (Children Services Data)
We’re supporting a local authority to appoint an experienced Performance Analyst to support a critical period of statutory reporting within Children’s Services. This is a 3 month rolling contract, £350 per day inside IR 35 to be based in South West London on a hybrid basis to start ASAP.
This role will play a key part in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of statutory returns, with a primary focus on the CiN Census and 903 return. You’ll work closely with an established Performance team, helping to improve data quality and ensure compliance across the service.
Key Responsibilities
Lead on the completion and submission of statutory returns, including CiN Census and 903
Analyse and validate data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance
Identify and drive data quality improvements across systems and processes
Work collaboratively with stakeholders across Children’s Services, Lifelong Learning, and Families
Support performance reporting and insight generation to inform service delivery
Manage timelines and coordinate input from multiple teams to meet deadlines
Key Requirements
Proven experience as a Performance Analyst within local government
Strong background in Children’s Social Care data and statutory reporting
Hands-on experience with CiN Census and 903 returns
Working knowledge of case management systems (ideally Mosaic)
Strong data analysis and validation skills
Confident stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Ability to work at pace and manage competing priorities
