Part-Time HR Officer

Location: City of London, EC2M

Hours: 2–3 days per week / 20 25 hours]

Salary: £60,000 pro rata

The Role

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join the business in a part-time, standalone capacity, supporting day-to-day HR operations.

This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys a hands-on, delivery-focused HR position and is comfortable working independently, without the need for close supervision or a structured progression path.

You will play a key role in ensuring smooth HR operations while providing practical, pragmatic support to managers and employees.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing day-to-day HR administration across the employee lifecycle

* Acting as the first point of contact for HR queries from managers and staff

* Supporting with employee relations matters (low-level casework, absence, disciplinaries, etc.)

* Maintaining HR records and ensuring compliance with employment legislation

* Assisting with recruitment coordination and onboarding

* Supporting performance management and policy implementation

* Ensuring HR processes are followed consistently across the business

About You

* Proven experience in a generalist HR role (HR Officer / Advisor level)

* Confident working independently in a standalone or minimally supported role

* Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice

* Practical, solutions-focused approach to HR

* Comfortable handling routine employee relations matters

* Highly organised with strong attention to detail

* Have experience working in the public sectorhis role would particularly suit someone who has worked in the civil service or in government.

* Enjoys a steady, hands-on HR role rather than strategic leadership
