We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Chef / Cook to join a residential home based in Kings Norton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a flexible part-time role working 3 days per week, including bank holidays and alternate weekends.
Working Hours and Pay:
3 days per week
7:30 am - 2:30 pm
Flexible days, including bank holidays and alternate weekends
£12.90 per hour weekdays
£13.40 per hour weekends
As the Chef / Cook, you will be the Kitchen Lead and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring residents receive fresh, nutritious meals in a safe and hygienic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Creating varied menus using fresh produce
Preparing breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks
Leading the daily running of the kitchen
Always maintaining excellent hygiene and food safety standards
Ensuring the kitchen remains clean, organised, and compliant with regulations
What We're Looking For
Previous experience working as a Chef or Cook
Ability to work independently and manage the kitchen effectively
A strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen standards
Flexibility to work alternate weekends and bank holidays
