Occupational therapist - Social care

𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗢𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘀𝘁 - 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲
𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻 Hybrid - remote assessments and home visits
𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: 2 days per week (full time) / minimum 1 day per week (part time)

𝗣𝗮𝘆 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲: Up to £40 per hour (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full time or part time (minimum 3 days per week)

𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆
An opportunity for an experienced Children's Occupational Therapist to work within Social Care, supporting children with disabilities through remote and home-based assessments. Experienced Occupational Therapy Assistants with substantial experience will also be considered.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀
* Screen and triage Children's OT referrals
* Complete remote (telephone/video) and home-based assessments
* Assess and provide interventions for bathing, seating, manual handling, home safety, and equipment
* Complete rehousing and housing-related reports
* Manage a balanced caseload of remote assessments and home visits
* Work collaboratively with families and multi-disciplinary teams
* Maintain accurate records and professional reports

𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
* HCPC registered Occupational Therapist (or experienced OTA)
* Experience in Children's Social Care, NHS, or school-based OT services
* Experience assessing children with disabilities in home or community settings
* Strong assessment, communication, and report-writing skills
