Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum
Average Total Earnings: £43,000 – £60,000 per annum
Additional Earnings: Paid travel, on-call and overtime allowances
We are seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Security Engineer to join our service and reactive security operations team in St Albans.
This is a senior, hands-on position where you will act as the on-site technical authority, carrying out preventative maintenance, reactive fault finding and repairs across a range of electronic security systems.
You will also provide technical leadership and mentorship to the wider engineering team, acting as the escalation point for complex technical issues and helping to develop the capability of other engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out preventative maintenance of electronic security systems.
Undertake reactive fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.
Act as the technical lead and escalation point for complex issues.
Provide technical guidance and best-practice support to other engineers.
Assist clients and regional teams with technical issues both remotely and face-to-face.
Use manufacturer software for system configuration, diagnostics and optimisation.
Provide professional and reliable technical support to customers.
Maintain excellent standards of customer service and communication.
Ensure all works comply with relevant British Standards, legislation and company procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation and service records.
Take responsibility for effective management of van stock.
Mentor and support team members, helping to develop their technical skills.
Represent the company professionally through high standards of workmanship and conduct.
Act as a positive values champion within the team.

Intruder Alarms, Access Control
CCTV, Intercom Systems
Texecom Cloud, Dahua DoLynk
Salto KS, Paxton 10
Brivo,Other manufacturer-specific systems
Skills & Experience
* Extensive experience within the electronic security industry.
* Excellent technical knowledge of security systems.
* Proven experience in fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.
* Strong understanding of system programming and configuration.
* Systematic and logical approach to problem solving.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* High standards of accuracy when completing documentation.
* Ability to work independently and take accountability for your work.
* Flexible approach to working hours when required.
* Experience mentoring or supporting other engineers would be advantageous.
The Ideal Candidate
You will be an experienced security engineer who is comfortable operating at a senior level and leading by example.
You will have a proactive and accountable approach, with a commitment to completing work correctly first time. You should be confident dealing with complex technical issues while maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach.
