School Cleaner / Mobile Cleaning Operative
Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf, South Wales
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Temporary
Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner / Mobile Cleaning Operative to join a busy cleaning team, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across schools and other public buildings.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team of two, covering cleaning duties across various locations, including staff absences, annual leave and vacancies.
Key Responsibilities
*
Carry out general cleaning duties across schools, offices and communal buildings.
*
Clean and sanitise classrooms, corridors, toilets, kitchens, staff rooms and school halls.
*
Hoover, sweep and mop floors, ensuring all areas are kept clean and presentable.
*
Sanitise toilets, sinks, showers, changing rooms, desks and other surfaces.
*
Empty wastebins and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout buildings.
*
Clean skirting boards, window sills, doors and other fixtures and fittings.
*
Operate cleaning equipment, including scrubber dryers where provided.
*
Undertake key holder responsibilities, including opening and securing buildings when required.
*
Provide cleaning cover across different sites to support staffing requirements.
Requirements
*
Full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
*
Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*
Flexible approach to working hours and locations.
*
Good attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
*
Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
Working Hours
*
37 hours per week.
*
Split shifts covering early mornings and late afternoons.
*
Morning shifts may fall between 5:00am and 9:00am.
*
Afternoon shifts may fall between 3:00pm and 7:30pm.
*
Applicants must be flexible as working hours and locations may vary.
Full training will be provided.
