About the Role
Deliver high-quality lessons in Mechanics and related vocational subjects
Teach practical and theoretical content across KS4 and/or post-16 learners
Support students with hands-on workshop activities and safe use of equipment
Plan, assess, and track student progress in line with curriculum requirements
Contribute to the department's development and wider school community
Maintain high standards of safety, organisation, and behaviour within the workshop
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or relevant teaching qualification
Strong knowledge of mechanics, automotive engineering, or motor vehicle studies
Industry experience (garage, automotive, engineering) is highly beneficial
Excellent communication and practical demonstration skills
A commitment to engaging students in vocational learning
Ability to inspire confidence and curiosity in technical subjects
