A well-established engineering business within the pump and water management sector is looking to recruit a Mechanical Workshop Engineer / Pump Engineer to join their growing team in Gloucester.
Due to increased workload, they need an additional engineer to support the workshop—this isn’t a replacement role, it’s growth. If you’re someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work and wants long-term stability with progression opportunities, this is a solid move.
* Service, maintenance, and overhaul of industrial pumps
* Refurbishment and repair of mechanical equipment
* Use of machinery including bending machines and workshop equipment
* General mechanical assembly using hand and power tools
* Fault finding and diagnosing mechanical issues
* Supporting the build and preparation of pump systems
Mechanical Workshop Engineer – Requirements
* Experience as a Mechanical Engineer / Pump Engineer / Workshop Engineer
* Hands-on experience with pumps, rotating equipment, or similar machinery
* Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery
* Mechanical fault-finding skills
* Reliable, hard-working, and able to work independently
Salary & Benefits
* £15.90 per hour (£33,072 basic)
* Overtime available
* 2 annual bonuses (mid-year & end-of-year)
