Alice Rose Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Shift Engineer to join the maintenance team at a prestigious commercial office building in the heart of Liverpool Street.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading building services provider, working within a high-rise commercial environment. The successful candidate will be mechanically qualified with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance and will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and building fabric systems.

Continental Shift - 4 nights, 4off, 3 days, 3 nights, 6off, 4 days - 07:00am - 19:00pm / 19:00am - 07:00am

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across mechanical and building services systems

* Monitor and maintain mechanical plant

* Maintenance and fault finding on pumps, motors, seals, and bearings

* Maintenance of AHUs and FCUs, including filter changes and cleaning

* Carry out water treatment checks and temperature monitoring

* Perform basic plumbing repairs including replacing taps, washers, and clearing blockages

* Monitor and respond to BMS alarms

* Undertake basic electrical duties including lamp replacements

* Carry out general building fabric maintenance

* Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors

* Maintain accurate maintenance records and logbooks

* Proactively identify faults and arrange remedial works

* Liaise with clients, occupiers, and site management teams

* Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and site procedures

Requirements

* Mechanical City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 Qualification

* Proven experience within commercial building maintenance

* Experience working within a large commercial office environment

* Multi-skilled building services maintenance experience

* Strong knowledge of mechanical plant and HVAC systems
