We are seeking a full-time Marketing & Business Development Officer to join our expanding Marketing Team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract, due to commence in July 2026.

The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and multi-skilled Marketing & Business Development professional to join our firm. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing our marketing strategies while driving business growth during a key period for the team.

This is a varied and autonomous role offering exposure across marketing and business development activity, with the opportunity to take ownership of a broad range of projects and make a meaningful impact on the firm’s profile and growth. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and proactively manage competing priorities across a broad range of marketing and business development activity.

You will work closely with the Partner responsible for Marketing to enhance our market presence, build relationships, and increase client engagement.

We would like the ideal candidate to have:

* Proven experience in marketing and business development, preferably within the legal or professional services sector.

* Strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies and platforms.

* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in content creation and copywriting.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

* Creative thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

* A proactive approach to problem-solving and identifying new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement effective marketing campaigns across multiple channels (digital, social media, print) to enhance the firm's visibility and promote key services.

Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, nurture existing client relationships, and help drive revenue growth. Coordinate legal directory submissions, including Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500, to raise the profile of the firm, partners, and practice areas.

Content Creation:
Manage the production of high-quality, engaging content for marketing materials, newsletters, client communications, website and social media platforms. Work closely with fee earners to source and develop content across departments.

Brand Management:
Ensure the firm’s brand is consistently represented across all platforms and communications, ensuring consistency of tone and messaging.

Market Research:
Analyse market trends, client needs, and competitor activities to provide actionable insights that inform business development and marketing strategies.

Event Management:
Organise and coordinate firm events, sponsorship opportunities, networking events, awards ceremonies, and law fairs, ensuring effective promotion and execution.

Client Relationship Management:
Support the development of strategies to enhance client loyalty and retention, including assisting with client feedback and reputation management.

Reporting:
Track, measure, and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and business development activities to demonstrate return on investment and inform future strategies.
