The Opportunity
A well-established and growing manufacturing group in Staffordshire is seeking a hands-on Management Accountant to join the business following a recent acquisition.
This is a newly created role designed to strengthen the link between operations and finance across two manufacturing sites. The position offers significant scope to influence performance, improve processes and deliver meaningful commercial insight.

The Role
This is not a traditional reporting position. You will sit between operations and finance, working closely with Site and Operations Directors to truly understand how the business operates.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting management accounts, budgets, forecasts and re-forecasting
Gaining a deep operational understanding of the newly acquired businesses
Cleansing and validating data to improve costing accuracy
Reviewing and improving:
Standard costings, BOMs and routings
Labour efficiency
Scrap and yield
Inventory and WIP accuracy
Analysing sales mix and margin drivers
Identifying improvement opportunities and driving corrective action
Translating operational data into clear financial insightThere are genuine quick wins to be made and real opportunity to shape systems, controls and performance.
About You
Manufacturing or engineering finance background (essential)
Part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or qualified by experience
Strong Excel and ERP/MRP knowledge
Confident communicator, comfortable working with operational teams
Commercially curious, proactive and hands-onYou will need to be comfortable travelling to the Telford site once per week and building strong on-site relationships.
