This is a varied, hands on Management Accountant / Junior Finance Manager, which includes:
* Lead the preparation of cost projections and overhead forecasts as part of quarterly updates and the annual planning cycle.
* Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations to uphold accuracy and strengthen internal controls.
* Manage the monthly financial close, ensuring all journals prepared by junior colleagues are reviewed, validated, and processed correctly.
* Provide financial modelling and analytical support for bids, proposals, and commercial opportunities.
* Produce periodic and year-end financial statements for several business units, maintaining consistency and compliance with reporting standards.
* Coordinate all aspects of the external audit, preparing required documentation and ensuring timelines are met.
* Assemble consolidated management reports and present them to senior leadership for decision-making.
* Carry out credit reviews and risk evaluations for customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
* Oversee VAT return submissions and offer guidance on indirect tax compliance when needed.
* Compile data for corporate tax filings and work with external tax specialists to resolve technical matters.
* Review a range of tax-related and employee-related statutory submissions.
* Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, guiding their day-to-day work and supporting their professional development.

What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
* ACCA or CIMA qualified or part qualified.
