Management Accountant

Management Accountant Location: Bury (Hybrid - 1-2 days WFH) Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 Hours: 9:00am - 5:15pm (flexible)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a growing, private equity-backed professional services business in Bury.This role is ideal for someone ambitious and looking to progress their finance career within a growing organisation. The successful candidate will gain broad exposure and have a clear pathway to a Finance Manager role

Responsibilities include:

Producing monthly management accounts
Balance sheet reconciliations
Payroll journals
Supporting month-end and year-end processes
Preparing VAT returns
Cash flow forecasting
Cashbook reconciliations
Managing payments and invoices
Providing financial commentary and analysis

About You

Essential:

ACCA or CIMA qualified (part-qualified or AAT Level 4 also considered)
Experience producing management accounts
Strong understanding of balance sheets and reconciliations
Ability to provide financial analysis and commentary
Strong Excel and systems skills (ERP systems such as Sage Intacct beneficial)

Desirable:

Experience in industry (practice background also considered)
Experience using ERP accounting systems
