This Accountant position offers the opportunity to work closely with operational teams across repairs, estates, and fleet services, playing a vital role in service delivery and performance improvement.

As an Accountant, you will be:
Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting year-end accounts across three operational service areas
Supporting budget setting, monitoring, and forecasting for frontline housing services
Providing financial support for responsive repairs, a high-volume, day-to-day service delivered by in-house labour teams
Supporting void repairs, also delivered in-house, with lower but critical volumes
Analysing operational outputs using Excel (pivot tables essential) to produce detailed performance and cost reports
Supporting Estates services, with costs recharged to tenants through service charges
Providing financial oversight of a fleet of approximately 350 vehicles supporting repairs and estates services
Managing and developing three Assistant Accountants, improving reporting quality and team capability

Proven experience in budgeting and forecasting
Advanced Excel skills, particularly pivot tables and data analysis
Experience using a finance system alongside an operational or housing management system (desirable)
