Management Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a leading manufacturing business based in the Ayrshire area. The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial reporting, commercial insight, and operational analysis to support business performance across the manufacturing operation.
This is a varied and hands-on role suited to a commercially minded accountant with strong analytical capability and the confidence to work closely with operational stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly management accounts and associated reporting packs
Variance analysis and performance reporting to support key business decisions
Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Providing meaningful financial analysis to support operational and commercial performance
Supporting month-end and year-end processes
Partnering with operational teams to improve cost control and financial understanding
Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining financial accuracy
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes and reporting
We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
Experience within a manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous
Knowledge of costing and inventory accounting would be a distinct advantage
Strong Excel and systems capability
A proactive and collaborative approach with the ability to influence stakeholders across the business
Professionally qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ICAS) or qualified by experience (QBE) candidates will be consideredWhat’s on Offer?
