We are seeking a proactive Management Accountant to join the finance team and support the delivery of accurate financial information that drives commercial performance and strategic decision-making.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will work collaboratively across departments, providing month-end support, insightful analysis and ensuring robust financial controls in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports
* Lead month-end processes including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
* Analyse variances against budgets and forecasts with meaningful commentary
* Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning activities
* Assist with statutory accounts preparation and external audit liaison
* Prepare VAT returns and routine statutory submissions
* Maintain inventory accounting including stock valuation and reconciliation
* Provide insightful commercial and financial analysis for senior management
About You
Qualifications & Experience
* Part-qualified / qualified through ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent, or qualified by experience
* Prior experience within a management or financial accounting role
* Strong technical accounting knowledge, including VAT/ HMRC and month-end experience
* Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting systems
