Learning & Care Support Assistant (LCSA) – SEND College

A welcoming and supportive SEND college in Harrow (HA3) is seeking a dedicated Learning & Care Support Assistant (LCSA) to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a care or healthcare background who is looking to support students with their learning, personal care, and emotional wellbeing within a positive educational environment.
The Role:
* Full-time position
* Monday to Friday
* Working hours: 9:00am – 4:00pm
* Location: Harrow, HA3
* Pay: £14.25–£16 per hour (dependent on experience)
You will work closely with students, providing tailored support to help them develop their independence, confidence, and skills while ensuring they feel safe and valued.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEND
* Support students with learning activities and personal development
* Assist with personal care needs, including manual handling and peg feeding
* Support students who may display challenging behaviours
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and wider support teams to meet individual needs
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience in a healthcare, care, support worker, or similar role (preferred)
* Experience supporting individuals with additional needs
* Manual Handling training and certificate (required)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A patient, caring, and empathetic approach
* A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them achieve their potential
