Job Title: Large Site Cleaner
Location: Wethersfield
Salary: £31,200
Hours: Full-time, 48 hours per week, shifts on a rota between 08:00 and 20:00
Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract, 12 months
Purpose of the Role:
The Cleaner is responsible for ensuring the site remains clean, hygienic, and well-presented, creating a safe and welcoming environment for all. The role involves both routine and reactive cleaning across a large, complex site, requiring strong attention to detail, reliability, and a professional approach.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Cleaner will perform a variety of cleaning and hygiene tasks as directed by the Site Manager. Key duties include:
* Routine cleaning of internal areas, including offices, communal spaces, corridors, kitchens, and washrooms
* Cleaning and sanitising toilets, showers, and welfare facilities
* Floor care, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, buffing, and spot cleaning
* Emptying bins and safely disposing of waste, including recycling
* Restocking consumables such as soap, toilet rolls, and hand towels
* Cleaning glass, fixtures, door handles, and other high-touch surfaces
* External cleaning tasks, including litter picking, yard sweeping, and maintaining outdoor walkways
* Reporting any maintenance issues, damage, or health & safety concerns
* Ensuring cleaning equipment is used safely, stored securely, and maintained in good condition
Required Skills:
* Previous experience in property or commercial cleaning
* Knowledge of cleaning solutions, equipment, and their safe use
* Awareness of health & safety standards and ability to follow procedures
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Effective time management and ability to prioritise tasks
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Physically fit and able to handle manual cleaning tasks
