We are looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our expanding finance team. Whether you are a recent graduate or currently studying towards a professional accounting qualification, this role offers valuable exposure to bookkeeping, payroll, management accounts, financial reporting, and business analysis.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate financial records, including processing invoices, receipts, payments, and other transactions
* Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
* Support payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations
* Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies
* Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, costs, and profitability
* Produce sales and performance analysis reports to support business decision-making
* Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes
* Provide financial analysis and ad-hoc reporting for senior management
* Support continuous improvement of finance processes and controls
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline, or be actively studying towards AAT, ACCA, or CIMA
* Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* Strong organisational and time-management abilities
* The confidence to work independently and as part of a team
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable Experience
* Previous bookkeeping or finance experience
* Payroll administration experience
* Experience using accounting software
* Exposure to management accounts and financial reporting
* Understanding of project costing, budgeting, and profitability analysis
