Job Opportunity: Janitor (Part-Time)

Location: Birmingham (B15 Area) Pay Rate: £12.65 per hour

We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Janitor to join our team in Birmingham for a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension. This is an onsite, part-time role perfect for those seeking evening work.

Working Hours

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
Time: 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Total Hours: 12.5 hours per week

The Role

You will be responsible for the daily upkeep and cleanliness of our facility, ensuring a high standard of hygiene across labs, offices, and communal areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Cleaning: Cleaning washrooms, offices, hallways, and cafeteria areas.

Waste Management: Performing waste disposal and recycling services
General Maintenance: Dusting, polishing fixtures, and responding to customer cleaning requests.

Facility Projects: Occasional deep-cleaning tasks such as stripping/waxing floors and cleaning air diffuses.

Exterior Care: Sweeping walkways and maintaining the smoking area.

Stock Control: Replenishing soap and paper dispensers and monitoring cleaning supply inventory.

Requirements

Experience: Previous experience in a cleaning or maintenance role is required.
Communication: Proficiency in English with good interpersonal skills.
Self-Management: Ability to work with minimal supervision and a "team player" attitude.
Assets: Experience in pharmaceutical or food processing environments (Good Manufacturing Practices) is a plus.

Work Environment

Tasks are routine and repetitive in nature.
