Internal Sales Desk Executive

Location: Corby (Office Based)
Salary: £30k + Bonus + Benefits
Hours: Full Time, Permanent | Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm

Interaction Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a successful and growing UK manufacturing business supplying specialist material handling and conveyor solutions to customers across the UK and overseas.

Due to continued growth, our client is looking to appoint an ambitious and commercially minded Internal Sales Desk Executive to join their sales team.

This role would suit an experienced B2B sales professional who enjoys building relationships, generating opportunities and developing business through proactive customer engagement. Candidates with experience within construction, building products, manufacturing, engineering, industrial distribution, plant hire or similar sectors are highly encouraged to apply.

Working closely with the UK & Export Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving sales growth by developing existing customer relationships, identifying new opportunities and supporting customers throughout the sales process.

The Role

This is a fast-paced, office-based sales position with a strong focus on outbound customer contact, lead generation and opportunity development.

You will be responsible for maintaining regular contact with customers, following up quotations, generating new business opportunities and ensuring a high level of customer engagement across your territory.

The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with a proactive approach and a genuine passion for sales.

Key Responsibilities

Generate new business opportunities through outbound calls and proactive customer contact
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing B2B customers
Identify opportunities to increase sales across existing accounts
Qualify enquiries and convert them into sales opportunities
Prepare and follow up quotations to maximise conversion rates
Maintain accurate CRM records and effectively manage your sales pipeline
Develop a strong understanding of products and customer requirements
Work closely with the UK & Export Sales Manager to support sales growth initiatives
Support account development activities and customer retention strategies
Achieve agreed sales targets and key performance indicators

About You

Essential Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a B2B sales, internal sales, telesales, business development or account management role
Experience making outbound calls and generating new business opportunities
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Confident and professional telephone manner
Experience managing customer enquiries, quotations and sales opportunities
Comfortable working towards sales targets and performance objectives
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications

Desirable Experience

Experience within construction, building products, manufacturing, engineering, industrial distribution, plant hire or related sectors
Experience supporting field-based sales teams
Experience working within a product-led sales environment
