Job Title: Infrastructure Security Engineer

Location: Moorgate Rd, Rotherham S60 2UD

Job Type/Shift Patterns: Full-time (37.5 hrs/week), Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm or 9am–5pm. Hybrid role with 50% on-site work and rest 50% work from home.

Pay Rate: £19.78/Hr. + Holiday Pay >> £22.56/Hr.

Contract length – 6 months (Subject to review) (Possibility of extension)

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Security Engineer to manage and secure our infrastructure services, including servers, storage, networks, and disaster recovery. You will ensure system integrity, handle patching and vulnerability remediation, and maintain compliance with SLAs and security standards.

Skills & Experience:

* Experience with Windows Server, SAN, networking, IP telephony.

* Strong patch management and vulnerability remediation (SQL Server, Oracle Java).

* Knowledge of security standards (NHS, NCSC, ISO 27001), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide 3rd line support for servers, storage, networks, and security.

* Monitor and maintain infrastructure (live, training, dev environments).

* Manage backup/recovery systems and ensure data integrity.

* Apply security patches, updates, and upgrades.

* Support disaster recovery planning and execution.

* Enforce security policies for access control, firewalls, and vulnerability management.

Education & Certifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.

* Certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, MCSE) preferred.
