Information Security Engineer (m/f/d) - Germany
Role Overview:
For our client at Germany location, we are seeking an Information Security
Engineer. The Information & Cyber Security team reports directly to the management.
Information Security Engineer (m/f/d) Responsibilities:
• Developing information security concepts for projects, especially considering customer requirements and the specific characteristics of the space industry
• Developing information security measures (technical and organizational) and supporting their implementation
• Supporting specialist departments (systems engineers, administrators, software development) on IT security topics
Possible specializations:
• Planning, organizing, and executing the information security lifecycle according to BSI IT baseline protection
• Automation (Ansible, PowerShell, etc.) and administrative tasks for securing systems, e.g., security configuration for Windows/Linux, logging/monitoring support (Knowledge of Python is a plus)
Further activities:
• Reviewing and evaluating cybersecurity measures in the project environment,
searching for vulnerabilities and security gaps
• Developing and enhancing IT security products in the space context
• Contributing to studies on the development of new security technologies for the space industry, e.g., QKD or VPN
Project nature:
Large national and large European project, the details of which cannot be communicated at this time. Project duration at least 5 years.
The engineers are typically involved in at least two projects simultaneously.

Profile/Requirements:
• Completed studies in computer science or comparable qualification, or professional experience
• Understanding of cybersecurity, e.g., through practical experience in IT security or experience in applying information security standards such as BSI IT Baseline Protection or ISO 27001
• Specialization in IT security: Experience with the administration of Linux and/or
Windows systems
• Interest in learning about new topics
• Structured and analytical approach to work
• Ability to document clearly; in aerospace projects, every (security) design step should be documented and traceable
• Flexibility, an independent and eYective work style, as well as a sense of responsibility and teamwork skills
• 5 years or more of professional experience
• Willingness to perform security clearances (SÜ1 and SÜ2)
Team & Environment:
The team currently consists of 10 people. All are information security engineers with diYerent specializations. This includes: a Security Manager (plans work packages and tasks within projects, checkboxes, etc.),

• Home oYice: 40/60 (two days from home)
• Willingness to travel: approximately every two months, depending on the project phase, for 2-3 days within Germany and other European countries
