About the Role

We are looking for motivated Inbound Sales Consultants to join a growing specialist travel insurance business.

You will be responsible for handling inbound customer calls, understanding customers' requirements and providing suitable travel insurance solutions. The role will involve selling travel insurance policies, including cover for customers with pre-existing medical conditions, while identifying opportunities to upsell relevant additional cover.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous sales or contact centre experience who enjoys working with customers and is motivated by achieving targets.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will handle inbound sales calls from customers looking to purchase travel insurance, identify customer needs and recommend suitable policies. You will upsell relevant optional upgrades to maximise sales opportunities, achieve personal sales and performance targets, manage sensitive customer data in line with data protection requirements, maintain accurate customer records and make outbound calls to new and existing customers when required.

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous sales experience with a proven track record of success. Contact centre experience is desirable, while experience within a regulated industry would be advantageous.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a professional telephone manner, good listening and IT skills and the ability to work under pressure. A customer-focused approach, flexibility to work a varied shift pattern and a willingness to learn and develop are also important.

Working Hours

This is a 37.5-hour working week on a rolling rota, with shifts provided approximately 6 weeks in advance.

Typical shifts include Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:30pm, 10:00am–6:00pm, and 1 week in 4 from 12:00pm–8:00pm. The role also includes 1 Saturday per month and 1 Sunday per month.

After 6 months of training, there may be the flexibility to work 2–3 days per week from home, if preferred.
