Teaching Personnel is currently working in partnership with a number of secondary schools across South West London who are looking to recruit qualified and experienced Humanities Teachers to support their departments.
We are keen to hear from teachers specialising in History, Geography, or Religious Studies who are confident delivering engaging lessons and maintaining high classroom standards.
About the Role
Teaching Humanities subjects (History, Geography, or Religious Studies) across KS3–KS4 (KS5 opportunities depending on experience)
Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum
Following school schemes of work or delivering pre-planned lessons
Supporting pupils of varying abilities and encouraging strong engagement with the subject
Roles available across South West London, including Tooting, Wandsworth, Clapham, Brixton, Wimbledon, Richmond, Twickenham and surrounding areas
Day-to-day supply, short-term, and long-term opportunities available
Full-time and part-time flexibility
Essential Requirements – Please Read Carefully
✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
✔️ Degree in History, Geography, Religious Studies, or a related subject
✔️ Experience teaching Humanities in a UK secondary school
✔️ Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
✔️ Ability to deliver engaging lessons and support student progress
✔️ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
⚠️ Please do not apply if you do not hold QTS or do not have experience teaching Humanities in a UK secondary school. Applications that do not meet these criteria will not be considered.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
