Prospero Teaching is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in the Bridgwater area to recruit an engaging and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher, with a specialism in History.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and high-performing department on a long-term maternity cover, delivering inspiring lessons that bring history to life.

✨ The Role

You will primarily teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to contribute to the wider Humanities curriculum.

The role will involve:

Delivering high-quality, engaging History lessons
Encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and discussion
Helping students draw connections between the past and modern society
Supporting students in developing strong analytical and evaluative skills
Contributing to a collaborative and successful Humanities department

βœ… Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
βœ… Experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4
βœ… Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
βœ… A creative, engaging, and resilient teaching style
