We're looking for an HR Manager / HR Business Partner to lead all aspects of HR across the site. This is a standalone role offering the opportunity to shape the people agenda, influence leadership and develop a confident culture.
This is more than a traditional HR role. We're looking for someone who can balance operational excellence with strategic thinking - someone who is equally comfortable managing employee relations, coaching managers, improving engagement and driving continuous improvement across the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities as the HR Manager / HR Business Partner;
Managing all day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, probation, absence management, HR systems and employee records.
Providing expert advice and support on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence cases.
Coaching and developing managers to improve confidence and capability in people management, performance conversations and employee engagement.
Driving employee engagement initiatives, communication and recognition programmes
Leading HR improvement projects, including policy reviews, performance management processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, company policies and HR best practice.
About You
You'll be an experienced HR generalist who enjoys working in an operational environment and building trusted relationships across all levels of the business.
Strong generalist HR experience as a HR Manager or HR Business Partner.
Excellent employee relations experience, including supporting managers through complex cases.
Experience working with trade unions or within a unionised environment.
A thorough understanding of UK employment law.
Strong coaching and influencing skills with the ability to develop manager capability.
A practical, hands-on approach and the confidence to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery.
Excellent organisational skills, resilience and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
