Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Complex Support Worker to support a teenager in the home and community. The young person has autism, ADHD, is non-verbal, and can present with behaviours that challenge, including aggression. This role requires someone who is calm, patient, resilient and confident in providing structured, person-centred support.

You will provide consistent support during weekday evenings and weekends, helping to maintain routines, promote safety and wellbeing, and support meaningful engagement. You must be able to build trust, work professionally with the family, recognise triggers, and respond appropriately using calm and safe de-escalation approaches.

Main Duties

* Provide 1:1 support tailored to the young person’s needs

* Support with routines, activities and community access

* Use clear and consistent communication approaches

* Recognise triggers and respond safely to distressed behaviour

* Follow care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures

* Keep accurate daily records and report concerns appropriately

Requirements

* Experience supporting children or young people with autism

* Experience supporting ADHD and non-verbal communication needs

* Experience managing behaviours that challenge, including aggression

* Calm, professional and reliable approach

* Good understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries

* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

* Enhanced DBS preferred

* Full UK right to work

Desirable

* Positive Behaviour Support experience

* Community support experience

* Driver with access to a vehicle
