Key Responsibilities
1. Personal Care & Support

Assist patients with daily living tasks, including washing, bathing, dressing, and toileting.

Support with mobility, repositioning, and safe use of equipment such as hoists and wheelchairs.
*
Help patients with eating and drinking, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are followed.
2. Clinical Support (Under Supervision)
*
Take and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
*
Assist in monitoring patient conditions and reporting changes promptly to nursing staff.
*
Support with specimen collection (e.g., urine samples).
*
Help maintain infection prevention and control standards.
3. Patient Comfort & Wellbeing
*
Ensure patients’ physical comfort, emotional wellbeing, and dignity at all times.
*
Provide companionship and reassurance to patients and service users.
*
Support individuals with communication needs, ensuring they are heard and respected.
4. Environment & Safety
*
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised care environment.
*
Follow health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling protocols.
*
Report hazards, equipment faults, or incidents immediately.
5. Documentation & Communication
*
Accurately record care activities, observations, and patient information in line with organisational policies.
*
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
*
Maintain confidentiality and follow data protection guidelines at all times
