We're looking for a caring and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our specialist team supporting an amazing 8-year-old boy in his family home in Norwich.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant who enjoys building meaningful relationships and making a real difference every day. You'll provide dedicated 1:1 support, helping him stay safe, comfortable and engaged while enabling him to enjoy the activities he loves most.
He has a fun-loving personality and enjoys sensory play, music therapy, children's television, singing and playful interaction. He responds brilliantly to carers who are warm, patient and don't mind using funny voices to make him laugh and smile.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you'll support him across both day and night shifts. During the day, you'll help him access activities at home and in the community while monitoring his wellbeing and supporting his clinical needs. Night shifts focus on maintaining a calm, restful environment, providing reassurance and closely monitoring his condition throughout the night.
You'll receive specialist clinical training to support a range of complex healthcare needs, including non-invasive ventilation (CPAP), overnight monitoring, oxygen saturation monitoring, medication administration, personal care and moving and handling.
Previous epilepsy experience is welcomed but isn't essential, as full training and ongoing clinical support will be provided.
What You'll Need
* Minimum 3 months' paid UK care experience
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Confidence with medication, personal care and moving & handling
* Excellent communication skills
* A caring, reliable and patient approach
* Willingness to complete specialist clinical training
