About the Role
We are currently recruiting Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers to work in care and support settings across Wrexham (LL11 and LL14).
Job Responsibilities
* Provide care and support to children and young people.
* Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
* Support children with emotional, behavioural and complex needs.
* Support children who may display challenging or aggressive behaviour.
* Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
* Use appropriate techniques to manage challenging behaviour safely.
* Monitor and report changes in the child's wellbeing or behaviour.
* Maintain accurate care records.
* Promote the safety, dignity and wellbeing of children at all times.
* Work effectively with the wider care and support team.
Mandatory Requirements
* Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour, aggression or complex needs is required.
* Physical Intervention Training is essential.
* Accepted training certificates: MAPA, CPI, NPI, Team-Teach or PRICE.
* Must have relevant challenging behaviour / aggression management or physical intervention training.
* Must be registered with Social Care Wales.
* Must have a valid Enhanced DBS.
* Good communication skills and a caring, professional attitude.
