Contract: Part-Time (Tuesday & Wednesday)
Hours: 2 days per week

The Supply Register is currently recruiting for a Health and Social Care Lecturer to support Newcastle College on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced lecturer or industry professional looking for a flexible role within a well-established Further Education setting.

The Role

As a Health and Social Care Lecturer, you will deliver engaging and informative lessons, supporting learners working towards qualifications and careers within the health and social care sector.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering Health and Social Care lessons (BTEC / CACHE)

Supporting learners with coursework, assignments, and assessments

Preparing students for careers in healthcare and social care settings

Monitoring learner progress and providing constructive feedback

Promoting safeguarding, equality, and professional standards

Creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

Experience in Health and Social Care or a related field

Teaching experience or willingness to move into education

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to engage and support post-16 learners

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable:

Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DET)

Experience delivering BTEC or CACHE qualifications

Previous experience within Further Education
