Duties & Responsibilities
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support students during lessons and help them remain focused and engaged.
Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required.
Work alongside teachers to support classroom learning.
Encourage students to develop confidence and independence.
Help students overcome barriers to learning.
Provide positive encouragement and act as a positive role model.
Support students with their academic, social and emotional development.
Assist with classroom routines and activities.
Build positive and professional relationships with students and staff.
Help create a calm, positive and engaging learning environment.
What You Must Have
To be considered, you must have:
A degree or equivalent qualification.
Previous experience working within a school setting.
A genuine interest in working with secondary-aged students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A positive, approachable and enthusiastic personality.
The ability to engage and build rapport with young people.
A professional and reliable attitude.
A valid DBS or willingness to complete the required safeguarding checks.
