We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates who want to gain valuable, hands-on classroom experience before progressing into teaching, educational psychology, SEN, pastoral support or another career working with children.
The role:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you may be:
Supporting children 1:1 or in small groups
Helping pupils with Maths, English and other classroom activities
Supporting children who need additional academic or emotional support
Working alongside the class teacher to raise engagement and confidence
Supporting pupils with SEN and additional needs
Helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environmentWho we're looking for:
We'd love to hear from graduates who:
Hold a degree in any relevant subject
Are enthusiastic about working with primary-aged children
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Are patient, proactive and confident
Ideally have experience working with children through schools, tutoring, coaching, youth work, childcare or volunteering
Are considering a future career in teaching or educationPrevious school experience is advantageous, but we are also interested in graduates with transferable experience working with children or young people.
