The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students across a range of subjects and year groups. Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff, you will help create a positive learning environment and contribute to student progress both academically and socially.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support students within lessons, both individually and in small groups.
Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
Deliver targeted intervention sessions to raise attainment.
Provide additional support to students with varying learning needs.
Monitor student engagement and progress.
Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Support behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities where appropriate.
Person Specification
A degree from a Russell Group university is highly desirable.
Strong academic background and excellent communication skills.
A genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
Previous experience working with children or young people is advantageous but not essential.
Professional, proactive, and committed attitude.
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
