The Role - Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work with pupils aged 11-16, delivering 1:1 and small-group support to help them access learning and develop more positive behaviours.
A key aspect of this Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role is supporting the management of challenging behaviour through structured and consistent strategies. You will help pupils regulate their emotions, rebuild engagement with education, and grow in confidence within a supportive setting.
Building strong relationships will be essential, as you act as a positive role model, providing stability, encouragement, and clear boundaries for pupils who need consistent support.
