The Role
We are looking for an ambitious Graduate Remediation Engineer to join a well-established environmental consultancy in Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to kick-start their career in land remediation and contaminated land management, working on a wide range of brownfield and infrastructure projects across the UK.
You will gain hands-on experience supporting the design and delivery of remediation strategies, working alongside experienced engineers and environmental specialists.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design and implementation of remediation strategies for contaminated land
Support site investigations, including soil and groundwater sampling
Interpret environmental data and contribute to risk assessments
Help prepare remediation method statements and validation reports
Monitor remediation works on-site, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations
Liaise with contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies
Maintain accurate site records and technical documentation
Support project delivery to ensure work is completed on time and within budget
Requirements
Degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
Strong interest in contaminated land and remediation
Good understanding of environmental legislation and risk assessment principles
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Willingness to travel to sites across Kent and the South East
Full UK driving licence (or working towards it)
Desirable
Previous internship or placement in geoenvironmental or remediation projects
Knowledge of Phase I/II site investigations
Familiarity with soil and groundwater sampling techniques
Working towards or interest in chartered status (e.g., ICE, CIWEM, or Geological Society)
