Graduate Quantity Surveyor – Water – Ellesmere Port – up to £60k + Package
Have you got at least a couple of years’ Quantity Surveying experience under your belt and looking for somewhere you can really accelerate your career? This is an opportunity to join a specialist civil engineering contractor where you’ll work alongside experienced commercial people, be given responsibility as you develop and have several years of secured work ahead of you.
The company specialises in technically challenging water, wastewater, utilities and tunnelling projects and has secured a significant programme of work through the United Utilities AMP8 framework. You’ll be based around Ellesmere Port and the southern area of United Utilities (Blackpool, Manchester etc), gaining experience across a portfolio of clean and wastewater schemes rather than being limited to one small part of the commercial process.
Working alongside Senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers, you’ll get involved in procurement, subcontract management, valuations, cost reporting, change and final accounts, with your level of responsibility increasing as your experience develops.
They’re looking for someone with a Quantity Surveying degree, ideally around 2–3 years’ practical experience and some exposure to NEC contracts. Water experience isn’t the deciding factor – attitude, commercial awareness and a willingness to learn are far more important.
For someone at the earlier stages of their career, the combination of experienced people around you and a long-term AMP8 workload makes this a particularly good place to develop.
Salary is dependent on experience and can reach £60k for someone towards the stronger end of the brief, alongside a company car/car allowance, 27 days holiday, 5% pension and discretionary bonus.
