We’re supporting a specialist manufacturing business who are looking to recruit a Graduate Quality Engineer to join their Quality team.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a fast-paced engineering environment while developing your career in quality engineering.
What’s the role all about?
As a Graduate Quality Engineer, you’ll support quality assurance activities across manufacturing, suppliers and customer-facing projects.
You’ll work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to help ensure products meet customer specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
This is a varied role offering exposure to audits, investigations, continuous improvement, root cause analysis and quality systems within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities
Support quality assurance activities across manufacturing operations
Assist with customer and supplier quality activities
Support investigations into non-conformances and quality issues
Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions using tools such as 8D
Help compile quality documentation including AS9102 FAIR documentation
Participate in internal and supplier audits
Support continuous improvement projects across the business
Analyse quality and process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Support process capability and quality control activities
Assist with inspection and verification activities where required
Support maintenance of quality systems and standards including ISO9001 and AS9100
What you’ll need
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
HNC, Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or Quality
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Interest in quality engineering and regulated manufacturing environments
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work across multiple departments and projects
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
Desirable
Placement year or industry experience within manufacturing or engineering
Knowledge of quality tools such as 8D, root cause analysis or Six Sigma
Understanding of ISO9001 or AS9100 standards
Exposure to engineering drawings or inspection processes
