A well-established engineering business is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join its growing design team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering graduate looking to build a long-term career in automated machinery and special purpose equipment design.
You’ll receive hands-on training, structured mentoring, and exposure to the full design lifecycle, working alongside experienced engineers on bespoke automation projects.
The Role
* Mechanical design of automated systems and machinery
* Produce and modify 3D CAD designs (SolidWorks preferred)
* Support component selection including pneumatics, motors, drives and encoders
* Assist with project delivery, timescales and cost awareness
* Learn industry best practice through shadowing senior engineers

The Person
* HNC / Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
* Exposure to 3D CAD software (SolidWorks ideal, others considered)
