A well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join their Newcastle team. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience across both site and office-based work, supporting a wide range of infrastructure, commercial, and residential projects.
You'll work closely with experienced engineers and senior staff, developing your technical skills while building a strong understanding of ground investigation, earthworks, and geotechnical design.
The role will involve:
Assisting with ground investigations and site supervision
Logging soil and rock samples in accordance with current standards
Supporting geotechnical testing, monitoring, and data collection
Helping prepare factual and interpretative geotechnical reports
Working with senior engineers on foundation, slope, and earthworks assessments
Ensuring works are carried out safely and in line with company proceduresEssential Criteria:
A degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline
Live within a commutable distance from the Newcastle office
