Ready to kick-start your career in geo-environmental engineering?

Are you a recent Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related graduate looking for a role where you can get out on site, work on exciting projects and develop real-world technical skills?

This could be the opportunity for you.

We are looking for a Graduate Geo-Environmental Engineer to join a growing consultancy based in Huddersfield, with projects across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who wants to build experience across ground investigation, contaminated land, environmental assessment and geotechnical engineering.

What will you be doing?

No two projects will be the same. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills across both office and site-based work, including:

* Supporting ground investigations and site investigations

* Carrying out site visits, trial pitting, borehole logging and soil sampling

* Undertaking Phase 1 desk studies and environmental assessments

* Supporting contaminated land investigations and risk assessments

* Interpreting ground investigation and laboratory data

* Assisting with ground gas and groundwater monitoring

* Preparing technical reports and factual reporting

* Supporting remediation projects and validation works

* Working with clients, contractors, laboratories and other consultants

* Developing your understanding of UK ground and environmental regulations

What are we looking for?

We’re interested in graduates who are enthusiastic about starting a career in the ground and environmental sector.

You’ll ideally have:

* A degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related subject

* A genuine interest in contaminated land, ground investigation or geotechnical engineering

* Good written and verbal communication skills

* Strong attention to detail

* A practical and hands-on approach

* The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

* A willingness to travel to project sites

* A full UK driving licence, or be working towards one

Previous industry experience is useful but not essential. We’re looking for someone with the right attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

What’s in it for you?

This is more than a graduate job — it’s an opportunity to build a career.

You’ll gain hands-on experience across a variety of projects while working alongside experienced professionals who can help you develop your technical knowledge and confidence.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

* Gain valuable site and consultancy experience

* Work on a varied range of projects

* Develop your technical and report-writing skills

* Build experience in both geo-environmental and geotechnical disciplines

* Progress your career within a growing consultancy

* Work towards relevant professional development and chartership

Interested?

If you’re a recent graduate who enjoys solving problems, wants to spend time both in the office and out on site, and is excited by the idea of understanding what lies beneath our feet, we’d love to hear from you
