Are you an organised and technically confident engineer looking for a long‑term role with a reputable manufacturer? Our client, a respected engineering company in East Kent, is seeking a Graduate Engineer to support both their Technical and Sales teams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, problem‑solving, and improving production efficiency.
About the Role
In this position, you will prepare accurate quotations and support the smooth introduction of new components into production. You’ll use your engineering knowledge and CAD expertise to ensure processes are cost‑effective and aligned with customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating:
• Prepare accurate quotations for engineered components
• Work to agreed gross profit targets
• Deliver quotes within customer deadlines
Planning:
• Plan new parts to support efficient manufacturing
• Create run rates, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings
• Support component development and produce manufacturing DXFs
• Use 3D CAD to design and create technical drawings
Skills & Experience
• Strong communication skills
• Confident in interpreting engineering drawings
• Good technical knowledge and problem‑solving ability
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
• Analytical and methodical approach
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities
• Able to work independently or as part of a team
• Good working knowledge of 3D CAD
