A well-established multidisciplinary consultancy is strengthening its civil engineering team in Manchester and is seeking a motivated Graduate Civil Engineer / Civil Engineer to support highways and drainage design across residential development projects. The Graduate Civil Engineer / Civil Engineer will work closely with experienced engineers and gain valuable exposure to approvals, design development and client interaction.
The Role
As a Graduate Civil Engineer / Civil Engineer, you will contribute to the delivery of development infrastructure schemes across the UK.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting highways and drainage design for residential developments
* Producing technical drawings using AutoCAD
* Assisting with drainage modelling using Causeway Flow or similar software
* Contributing to SuDS design and drainage strategies
* Supporting S38, S278 and S104 submissions
* Liaising with clients, local authorities and design teams
About You
This Graduate Civil Engineer / Civil Engineer role could suit a strong graduate or a Civil Engineer with up to four years' experience who wants greater involvement in projects.
You will ideally have:
* Degree or Masters in Civil Engineering
* Consultancy experience or strong academic grounding
* AutoCAD knowledge and interest in drainage design tools
* Awareness of SuDS and development infrastructure design
* A proactive attitude and strong communication skills
Salary for this Graduate Civil Engineer / Civil Engineer position is £28,000 - £36,000 depending on experience.
