What you'll be doing
💳 Keep the numbers flowing
* Carry out daily bank reconciliations.
* Investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
* Help ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.
📋 Support the Purchase Ledger
* Process supplier invoices accurately.
* Match invoices against purchase orders.
* Build positive relationships with suppliers by resolving queries promptly.
💰 Help manage customer accounts
* Monitor customer payments and assist with credit control.
* Follow up outstanding invoices professionally.
* Work alongside the sales team to resolve payment queries.
📊 Learn the reporting side of finance
* Support the preparation of management accounts.
* Assist with cash flow reporting.
* Help prepare VAT returns and month-end reconciliations.
* Gain valuable exposure to financial reporting and business performance.

What we're looking for
We're not expecting years of experience—we're looking for potential, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
You'll ideally have:
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or a related subject.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Great attention to detail.
* Confidence using Microsoft Excel (or a willingness to become an Excel expert!).
* Excellent organisation and time management skills.
* A positive attitude and a proactive approach.
* Strong communication skills and the confidence to ask questions.
