The Opportunity
Prospero Teaching is currently seeking GCSE English & Maths Tutors to support secondary-aged learners across Liverpool.
You will provide targeted 1:1 tuition to students who may have gaps in their education or require additional support with their GCSE studies.
The role involves identifying areas for development, planning engaging sessions and helping learners develop both their subject knowledge and confidence.
Position Details:
Location: Liverpool
Position: GCSE English & Maths Tutor
Hours: 5-15 hours per week
Start Date: September 2026
Duration: Ongoing
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Experience teaching GCSE English and/or Maths
Strong knowledge of the relevant GCSE curriculum
QTS, PGCE or equivalent
Previous 1:1 tuition experience is advantageous
The ability to adapt teaching to individual learning needs
To be eligible for this role, you must:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
Provide two professional child-related references
