A growing, accredited integrator operating across the UK is adding a permanent Fire & Security Engineer to its Durham team. Its work spans fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV and access control systems, and it offers a stable long-term career with specialist training and room to progress.
Salary and Benefits – Fire & Security Engineer
Basic salary of up to £40,000, dependent on experience
Overtime rates available
Uncapped commission with OTE of £55,000+
Supportive management in a well-organised working environment
Company van with private use (BIK opt-in)
Holiday of 22 days plus bank holidays, increasing with service
Training and development provided on an ongoing basis
Flexible call-out rota, managed locally

Key Responsibilities – Fire & Security Engineer
Keep fire alarm, CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems installed, serviced and maintained
Manage your own schedule and workload to deliver a reliable service to clients
Comply with relevant industry standards and health & safety requirements at all times
Cover emergency repairs and call-outs as part of a scheduled rota
Present a professional image of the company when on client sites
Skills and experience – Fire & Security Engineer:
Able to work independently with little supervision
Full UK driving licence
Solid track record working on fire alarm, CCTV, intruder alarm and access control systems
Training or experience on a specific manufacturer's fire alarm panels is highly advantageous
Strong technical troubleshooting skills
