About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fire & Security Technician. This position is responsible for carrying out routine repairs and planned preventative maintenance of integrated fire and security systems across prominent commercial retail locations.

Key Accountabilities

Undertake maintenance and repairs in accordance with strict customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs) including response times, first-time fix rates, and job closures.

Ensure all planned, reactive, and statutory works assigned are carried out fully in accordance with contractual obligations and site standard operating procedures.

*

Complete all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) works within agreed timeframes and ensure necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to high standards.

*

Respond promptly to service call requests from the Helpdesk during normal working hours and while participating in the on-call rota.

*

Identify non-repairable faults in equipment and propose appropriate corrective courses of action to clients and management.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

*

GCSE standard education (or equivalent)

*

Recognized Electrical Competency Qualification (NVQ or City & Guilds)

*

Working knowledge of IP and analogue CCTV systems

*

Experience with commercial fire alarm systems

*

Full, clean UK driving licence

Desirable Qualifications & Personal Attributes

*

IPAF licence holder (full training can be provided if required)

*

Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision

*

Strong written and verbal communication skills

*

Ability to distinguish colours to the standard required for electrical and electronic maintenance and repair
