We are looking for an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to join a growing and well-established fire and security business operating across the South of England. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional team delivering high-quality servicing and maintenance to commercial and residential customers.
The successful candidate will have experience working across a range of fire and electronic security systems and be committed to delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining high technical standards.
Key Responsibilities :
* Service and maintain fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control systems, automated gates and barriers.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with industry standards and manufacturer recommendations.
* Diagnose, fault-find and repair system issues efficiently.
* Complete service reports and all associated documentation accurately.
* Provide technical advice and support to customers when required.
* Build and maintain strong customer relationships through a professional approach.
* Keep up to date with current industry regulations, standards and emerging technologies.
* Participate in an emergency out-of-hours call-out rota.
* Travel to customer sites as required, with occasional nationwide travel.
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience servicing and maintaining fire and security systems.
* Good working knowledge of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control systems, automated gates and barriers.
* Relevant electrical or electronic engineering qualifications.
* Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Flexible approach to working hours and travel.
Desirable Skills
FIA or BAFE qualifications.
Experience working with GENT fire alarm systems.
Fault-finding experience on automated gates and barriers.
