Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer. They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their Finance Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting management with insightful financial reporting and analysis.

* Proven experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role
* A recognised Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent); part-qualified candidates may also be considered
* Manufacturing industry experience is essential; contract accounting experience is highly desirable
* Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
* Excellent communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial systems and ERP platforms
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* A proactive attitude and a desire to develop and progress within the finance function
Salary:
£40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
Responsibilities:
* Support day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and general ledger management
* Prepare and review monthly management accounts
* Provide strong technical accounting input and ensure compliance with international financial standards
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
* Develop and improve financial controls, systems, and procedures
* Support the development and standardisation of consolidated reporting processes
* Coordinate with external auditors and assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements
* Prepare annual statutory accounts and supporting documentation for audit purposes
